Preparing For a Stay & Arrival
Before arrival, guests receive guidance to help them feel prepared. This includes information about what to bring, what arrival day looks like, and what to expect during the first days in the program.
Forest City Healing Centre provides a structured, recovery-focused environment designed to support early stability and connection.
On arrival, guests are welcomed by staff and oriented to the space, the daily schedule, and the community environment. The early focus is on settling in, feeling safe, and becoming familiar with the program.
From here, guests begin full participation in the Forest City Healing Centre residential recovery program.
Visitation
Forest City Healing Centre offers structured, pre-arranged visitation to support connection while maintaining a safe, focused recovery environment.
Visitation takes place on Sundays and must be scheduled in advance with our team. All visitors are required to sign a confidentiality agreement upon arrival to help protect the privacy, dignity, and recovery process of all guests in the home.
Our visitation approach balances meaningful connection with the need for consistency, emotional safety, and respect for the recovery environment. Details regarding scheduling, approved visitors, and expectations are reviewed with guests and families as part of the admissions and orientation process.
Referral Agencies & Withdrawal Centres
Forest City Healing Centre works collaboratively with referral agencies, withdrawal management services, hospitals, and community partners to support continuity of care for men in early recovery.
We welcome coordinated referrals and value clear communication around readiness, transition planning, and support needs. Our team is available to discuss eligibility, timing, and next steps to ensure referrals are handled thoughtfully and responsibly.
